**NOT AVAILABLE** Available ThinkPad X Series Laptop Lineup Lenovo's ThinkPad X220 replaces the ThinkPad X201 laptop. Both systems are classified as ultraportable business-class solutions. With this new and updated model, the ThinkPad X220 has improved performance and a longer battery life. The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is an upscaled replacement of the ThinkPad X201 laptop. It uses 2nd Generation Intel dual core processors and 4 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM) for improved performance and speed. These 2nd generation dual core processors (Sandy Bridge) provide 20% faster speed than core duo processors and have safety features that make it less prone to theft. The ThinkPad X220 laptop is part of a new generation of Lenovo laptops to feature Intel's new Sandy Bridge processors. These are second generation Core Series processors that have up to 20% faster performance, a graphics boost that is twice as much as its predecessor, and longer battery life. The laptop can run for up to 15 hours on a 9-cell battery. Sandy Bridge processors can be deactivated remotely by Intel in emergency situations such as theft making the laptop useless to the thieves. These processors are also energy efficient and help lengthen the life of the laptop battery. The 6 Cell Battery itself can run for up to 15 hours of continuous use. As an ultraportable computing solution, the ThinkPad X220 is designed to be thin and light. To do this the laptop uses a 12.5-inch form factor that has a starting weight of 3 lbs. and that measures less than an inch thin at its narrowest profile point.In terms of mobility, the Lenovo ThinkPad X220 has a small 12.5” form factor and a weight of 2.97 lbs making it an ideal traveling companion or a great all around outdoor laptop. |
